The concept behind SWORD OF HATHOR is rooted in an imagined mythology created through fantasy and storytelling. It begins with the image of the Pharaoh, the ultimate symbol of power and authority in the ancient world.
The story is inspired by the themes of love and loyalty surrounding the Pharaoh, reflecting the belief that when a Pharaoh dies, their life partner would be sent to accompany them in the afterlife. At the heart of this mythology lies a pair of meticulously crafted swords, created as symbols of an eternal bond. Each sword is designed to follow its owner into the afterlife—one belonging to the Pharaoh, while the other is buried alongside their partner and the remains of their mummified body. This symbolic act represents an unbreakable connection between two souls, suggesting that their bond transcends death and continues forever in the afterlife.
This character is inspired by adults who continue to carry a sense of childlike spirit and playfulness within them. At times, they feel the need to break free, express themselves wildly, and let go of the expectations and judgments of those around them. This uncontrolled energy and occasional lack of restraint become the foundation of “Hyper”—a character that embodies unfiltered excitement and spontaneous behavior driven by immediate emotions.
“Hyper” represents the inner chaos and sense of freedom that emerge when we temporarily let go of control and allow ourselves to embrace our most authentic, energetic, and uninhibited selves.
Motion Graphic Designer for the partner showcase at TOFUYA CULTURE 2024. Developed engaging motion graphics using transition-based visual techniques to create dynamic video content aligned with the event’s theme.
The work focused on translating the event’s concept and atmosphere into visually engaging motion, using design, movement, and transitions to communicate the intended story and emotions effectively.
Life moves in cycles, and everyone has their own timing. True happiness comes from embracing your own journey rather than comparing it to others.
For this project, I was responsible for the 3D modeling and animation. After receiving the project brief and this year’s theme, “Boundless,” I collaborated with my team to develop a concept around the idea of limitless happiness.
We explored how happiness can exist beyond comparison, expectations, and personal limitations. The concept was then translated into 3D visuals and animation, using movement and form to communicate the idea of freedom, continuous growth, and happiness without boundaries.
Responsible for designing typography and motion graphics for the concert visuals. The design process began by studying the concert’s core concept and key visual, then translating these visual elements into a custom typographic style that aligned with the overall identity and atmosphere of the show.
The typography was further developed through motion and animation, creating dynamic visuals that complemented the performance while maintaining consistency with the concert’s visual direction.
Interactive Installation — Concept & Technical
This exhibition explores the art of cooking with heart and soul, based on the belief that everyone carries desires that go beyond satisfying physical hunger. These deeper desires may take the form of love, prosperity, personal dreams, or a sense of fulfillment. Ultimately, these desires shape who we are and what we aspire to become.
I was responsible for the technical development and integration of the artwork, using TouchDesigner to construct and control the overall visual components of the installation. The interactive system incorporated Leap Motion hand-tracking technology, allowing users to control the artwork through natural hand movements rather than a conventional mouse or controller.
This interaction was designed to create a more intuitive and immersive experience, allowing participants to engage with the artwork through physical movement and experience a sense of novelty and discovery.
